Moab River Rendezvous 2009 Event News

Over a hundred people attended the Historic River Film Festival, a warm-up event on Friday November 13, held at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center in Moab.  This was underwritten by University of Utah Library and presented by Roy Webb, media archivist at the library.
Saturday presentations at Redcliffs Adventure Lodge were attended by over 50 people.  With over twenty donated raffle items, including waterproof bags and bottles of fine wine, we had many happy winners!  In the words of Richard Roots, a veteran Moab river guide, "on a scale of 1 to 10, this was a 19 !"
Sunday morning saw the results of a winter storm that blew through ovenight.  Fresh snow on the canyon walls gave us a unique backdrop under brilliant sunshine for a truly different river trip.  Twenty adventurous souls ventured on the trip, sharing stories and laughs for a most enjoyable and memorable time.  Event photos were contributed by Herm Hoops, Tamsin McCormick and Karen Nelson.
