Event News -
from the river....
We took a hiatus in 2015 to celebrate our host organization, Plateau Restoration's 20th anniversary, which we did with a field trip to our Jackson Bottom and Potash Road restoration sites and a social gathering of members of our organization and previous attendees of the River Rendezvous. So, below are pictures from our 2014 event.
Also, Moab's event scene was beginning to blow up and we needed to find a new niche and maybe a new time. We think we've got it right in 2016, partnering with Green River, UT's Powell Museum. They have a great facility, lots of good visitor services, and a Boatman Hall-of-Fame Induction ceremony that seems a perfect match for our target community.
Plus, we've started on a great new post-fire riparian restoration project at Curtis Island on the Green River, which we can now share with MRR participants. The site is a mile below Swasey's take-out for Desolation/Grey Canyons, an just a few miles from the Museum. We'll be doing our field trip and service project at this site in 2016.
